Church Partnerships

As a Christian organization, CURE partners with churches to fulfill our common calling. We believe in healing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of God, and we believe in doing it together. We gain a clearer picture of the kingdom of God at work here on earth when we work alongside each other.

Why partner with CURE?

There are four things that were valued priorities for Jesus as chronicled in the scripture: children, healing, the church, and partnership.

God loves kids.

If we grew up anywhere near a church, branded into our brains are the lyrics, “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world!” We know this to be true from the gospel accounts of Jesus recognizing children as examples of humility, curiosity, and love. When everyone else made them feel small, Jesus made it clear that they were great in His eyes and in the kingdom of God. At CURE, we love kids because Jesus loves kids.

God is a healer.

Have you ever noticed how many times the gospels record accounts of healing? More than feeding the multitudes or any other acts, we are told that Jesus healed people. In CURE’s hospitals, we see healing happening each and every day through the miracle of medicine. When Jesus loved the sick and disabled, He loved the most vulnerable and disregarded population. He’s still doing that today. CURE heals the sick because we want to walk as He walked and serve as He served.

God loves the Church.

Jesus loves the Church so much that He gave Himself up for her. Described in Scripture as His most beautiful, priceless bride, the value of the Church can’t be underestimated. We love the Church and see CURE as another expression of it. We’re the people of God committed to doing what Jesus did: healing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of God. We want to partner with other expressions of the Church to fulfill the 1st century healing ministry of Jesus today in the 21st century.

God made us for partnership.

Jesus sent his disciples out in twos. Why? Because they could pick up one another, pray over each other, hold one another accountable, and rejoice together when the kingdom of God advanced. Through the partnership CURE has established with local churches, we’ve seen the truth, beauty, and blessing of Psalm 133 lived out: we’re better together.

The next step.

When we come together we can do so much more. Maybe this is your first encounter with CURE or maybe you’re a long time friend, but we want to know more about you and your church and how we can work together to support your ministry to people God has identified as being near to His heart. Get in touch with Lee Lawrence, our Church Engagement Coordinator, and she will work with you to determine what partnering with CURE can look like for your church.
